COURSE PHILOSOPHY

The BDTVEC HND in Business course aimed at preparing students for careers as accountants, financial analyst and etc. The course has been redesigned to prepare its diplomates to meet the needs of the accounting industry of Negara Brunei Darussalam. The special needs of Brunei Darussalam are incorporated in the course by specifically equipping students with those skills necessary for them to make an immediate and significant contribution to the local accounting industry.

COURSE AIMS

At the end of this programme, students will have:

1. An understanding of accounting information derived from all sources in the company;
2. Sound theoretical knowledge of using relevant costs for decision making;
3. An understanding of the basic principles involved in cost behaviour and profit control;
4. The ability to use, appreciate and analytically interpret accounting statements and data.
