Gift-giving: Pg Hj Helmi Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad (L),president of the Student Council of the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology,handing over a gift hamper to Hj Abdul Hamid Maaruf, head of administration of Pusat Ehsan

A DELEGATION from the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology paid a visit to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday to give their donations to the special needs students of Pusat Ehsan.

The delegation includes three lecturers and seven students including members of the student council.

The donations, which came from the students, lecturers and administrative staff of the college, were in the form of green packets and gift hampers.

The President of the Student Council, Pg Hj Helmi Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad, said the main objective of the visit was to give their contribution to Pusat Ehsan.

"Coming here has definitely given me a sense of responsibility and sympathy towards the students," said Pg Hj Helmi.

"We want to show that private institutions are also capable of doing something like this and hopefully we can spearhead the way for other private institutions to follow suit," he added.

He said the college and the student council hope to make more visits to Pusat Ehsan in the future.

Hj Abdul Hamid Maaruf, head of administration at Pusat Ehsan, thanked the group for their assistance.

Pusat Ehsan is a non-government and non-profit group which provides education, training, care and physical rehabilitation services to special needs children
