Cosmopolitan College Scholarship: Passion for Aspiration

“I would like to further my studies, however I have financial difficulties at the moment.”

Ever since Cosmopolitan College started, this has been the typical statement that they receive from most applicants hoping to pursue advance studies. It seems that financial status has proven to be a barrier to achieving one’s goals in education. As a means of giving a hand to these hopeful aspirants, the college has designed a scholarship programme which will not only help them financially, but also uplift their spirits to strive in studying.

This scholarship programme was initiated way back in 2007, when the college obtained the agreement from BDTVEC (Brunei Darussalam Technical Vocational and Educational Council) to conduct Higher National Diploma Programme. This scholarship programme is in line with the college’s vision to be the leader in providing quality human resource development to the country.

Just recently, the college conducted a scholarship exam to 52 candidates who have decided to take up further studies on International Diploma in Business Administration and Higher National Diploma in Business Management, Business Accounting, and Computing. Prior to this exam, candidates were assessed based on their entry qualifications. Subsequent to this exam would be an interview which will be carried out by the academic team of the college.

Last November 2009 HND Intake, out of the 27 aspirants who took the opportunity for the scholarship, the FULL scholarship (one year) was awarded to only one student, Hjh Noor Hafizah Bte Hj Md Sapian. “It gave me motivation and encouragement to accomplish my goals in life.” says this hardworking lady who is taking up Higher National Diploma in Business Management.

Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology is a private college that offers London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pre-National Diploma, National Diploma, Higher National Certificate, and Higher National Diploma Programmes which are specifically catered to the working professionals.
