The sport, dodgeball is beginning to be more popular and actively played in this country. Joining the bandwagon of this fad is Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology. The college just recently held a three (3) days tournament last 12th – 14th of September at the Atrium, Ground Floor of Airport Mall. This is an effort to support the country’s vision of having healthy and active youth. Organizing this event is actually one of the college’s students’ business group, known as Flexyvent Management. The organizers worked hand in hand with eleven (11) student volunteers from the College, five (5) Paramedics from the scouts and as well as Green City Concept, the official dodgeball association in Brunei.

Aside from the tournament, the event management also managed to put some stalls comprising of local SME such as; Suria Egg Tart, Jill bakery, Diana Sweetie, MHNNS Enterprise, Sumidah Enterprise, SH Fathin Enterprise, Mallyna Enterprise, Juniehk and Covered by An Nisa.

In an interview with one of the organizing committee, Ms. Mimi Noorazlina from Flexyvent Management expresses that; ‘this event would never have been possible without the guidance and encouragement of our lecturers and colleagues from our college and the support of our sponsors’.

The sponsors of the event comprises mainly of Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology, The Airport Mall, Aewon Brunei, Digi Mark, Q-Hanz Bakery, Mahkota Crystal, Wisa Enterprise, Rentokil Initial and Jerudong Park Medical Centre.

Overall, the event was a success considering that at the start, there was only nine (9) young business enthusiast taking Diploma in Business Finance students who first initiated this effort. The College is very proud of what their students has achieved at this stage and plans to bring up more practical projects to put the students’ abilities and skills to execution.
