Indera Samudra Grand Hall at The Empire Hotel Brunei came alive on Saturday, 24th June 2023 as the latest college convocation. COSMO graduates and parents gathered to celebrate their achievements for years of hard work and dedication.

The Guest of Honor was Chief Executive Ir Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar, the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI). He remarked during his speech, “In today’s rapidly changing world, graduates  need to remain vigilant and understand the importance of continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills to ensure employability by utilizing creativity, adopting positive thinking and possessing skills and abilities valued by employers”. The remarks he made stood out deeply, providing valuable insights for the graduates as they proceeded on their future endeavors.

He reminisced, “It is quite memorable for me since it was my last graduation ceremony”. “Reflecting on my journey, I  recounted the challenges faced during my academic years”. “We had a lot of challenges during my HND years, and one of them was due to the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic. It was a bit hard for us to have online classes as we were not used to it, and many of our practical sessions required physical presence. Despite this, our lecturers provided alternative ways that proved useful.” LoqmanulHa’adi explained.

Ms Nadirah binti Jambol, principal of Cosmopolitan College shared her heartfelt sentiments. “Alhamdulillah, I’m happy for them,” she expressed with a smile. Ms Izzahti, one of the college’s lecturers and event organizer provided insights which underline the purpose of the convocation ceremony. “The aim is to celebrate all the graduates for their achievements, and it is important for student to have clear aims and objective.”
